I’ve been itching to get this Vancouver wedding blogged! Thing is, it was SO hard to narrow my favourite photos down. I seem to have that problem a lot, don’t I?
Penny & Tomas were married last Saturday at St Patrick’s Cathedral in Vancouver, followed by a reception at Bridges Restaurant on Granville Island. I had such a great time with them and thankfully the weather gods held off until right after we finished up the photo session at Jericho Beach.
Penny & her bridesmaids got ready at the Westin Bayshore. The view was amazing from the International Suite.

Penny’s Mom is so adorable and sweet. I love this photo of the two of them laughing. ![]()

Wedding ceremony at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Main Street in Vancouver.

Penny’s brother got a little teary-eyed during the ceremony, which made me a little teary-eyed, too.

We headed over to the Jericho Sailing Club for some portraits of the newlyweds before it started to rain.

Just before it started pouring rain, Penny & Tomas jumped onto the ferry for a romantic little ride over to Bridges Restaurant where I met them at the dock.

They were greeted by their families & friends in traditional Lithuanian style. (I forget the name of the wedding traditions – someone remind me!) I do remember the tree cake is called a raguolis and is apparently made with love and with lots and lots of eggs.

I think this may be my most favourite wedding moment EVER. Tomas’ teta had everyone in the entire room singing a Lithuanian ‘dinner’ song as they rocked back and forth, arm in arm. The sound of everyone singing and the feeling in the room was so wonderful, you could just feel the love in the room.

After I left it sounds like the party really got started! From what I read on Facebook
, the DJ from Hot Wax kept Penny on the dance floor until the very end!
I hope the rest of your lives together is as filled with love as it was on this day.
Thank you, my fellow rock star!
Congratulations Penny and Tom,
Your photo album captured your loveliness (Penny not you Tom), and your happy and beautiful wedding.
Congratulations to you both for a long and healthy life together.
